after stealing some addresses from the "where to eat in bandung" books... i have finally found the oh-so-yummy cheesecake bakery!
so yes... i found the address at some book and decided to ask my driver to take metta and I there... we took quite sometime figuring out what to order because they all looked so awfully yummy and tempting! but the strawberry and blueberry cheesecakes were the most mouthwatering for me at least because I do have an obsession for strawberry & blueberry cheesecakes from any cake shops especially secret recipes...
I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and Metta ordered the blueberry cheesecake... but then... the rashberry marble cheesecake looked so tempting aswell... so we ended up sharing that...

trust me... they were! but we did get too full after finishing 1 cake though... and too full after trying to finish the rashberry one... :P
but i've got to say... the strawberry cheesecake was the best out of all 3... although the other 2 were tasty aswell... but not as tasty as the strawberry one! :D I'm cravin for another one right now!

after we had our cheesecake to satisfy our sweet craving... salty and spicy food became our next craving... so we decided to go for "pempek" in this small road called Jln. Rama which is famous for their "pempek" stalls as there were many there...
Pempek or as they call it "empek-empek" is not a Bandung food... it is actually from Palembang... but its not like I'm going to fly all the way to Palembang for pempek rite? I think "pempek" similar to the fishcakes that they have in Malaysia but so much better!!! and also many more different types!
they have the huge one with egg filling called the "pempek kapal selam"... i supposed because it looks similar to a submarrine? :P and the other small ones are like "lenjer", "keriting", "bulat", "kulit" and many more...
well... thats what I had... the "kapal selam", "lenjer" and the "keriting"... :)
yummy yummy yummy!! the sauce is probably one of the main thing that makes pempek is superly yummy! especially the spicy one!
anyway... thats all we had today... my tummy ain't big enough to fill so much food in a day! but i think today was a rather fun day! I feel like such a useless Bandung person because 1stly I don't know the roads around here... and 2ndly... I got so excited when my driver took me to some roads that i've never been before! yes... thats how bad I am... and Bandung is known for its "gedung sate" and yesterday was the first time that I saw it!!! I feel so ridiculous!! ohwell! better late then never, yes?
i shall stop now... got nothing else to write!
