I have to say, I am quite pleased with this year... I supposed that I do feel a lil more mature than last year... I supposed I am quite ready to leave 2008 behind after remembering what I have done and the memory I have manage to make during this year...

Will be back in Indo in less than 12 hours..

I don't think i have ever felt this reluctant to go back to Indo...
while my plane leaves in 9 or 10 hours time, my luggage is still half empty, and here I am blogging instead of packing up...

maybe the fact that I am going to be spending 2 months there turned off my excitement...
especially when the whole purpose of going back and spending time with my family was already fulfilled here when they all came here instead...

my holiday, so far here in Malaysia has been extremely splendid thanks to the wonderful friends i have here...
this is probably the other reason why I am not as excited to go back to Indo this time around...
I wish I could have spent more time with them for this holiday as to be honest, I really can't think of anything to do back home in Indo... and also... I didn't even get to see some friends that came or is coming back here for the holiday! :(

oh well...

well... I supposed I have my 2 backbones that I'm pretty dying to meet as I have many many things to share to them and so do they... 6 months of not seeing and talking much to Evelyn and Metta is quite a struggle when everything seems to be so eventful this time around...

hey... I'm beginning to feel a tinsy-bit of excitement :)

but yes... 2 months... I shall try not to rot... any recommendation on what to do there?
well... there is the Bali trip i supposed...
and probably some short courses here and there...
and loads and loads of sleep...
and shop shop shop...
and also eat yummy indon food!!
and....

there is actually many things that i can get excited for in Indo....
but still.....!

I don't know what I am rambling anymore...
my head is not with this post anymore...
to cut the rambling short...

I am just not as excited to go back to Indo as I should be!

and I think I should finish up packing now
or else, as someone said " you're going to be naked in Indo" ahaHAHAahaha...

ok bye~!!

and I'll see you in 2 months time :(:

Lomography Love

call me stupid for buying a lomo when I already own a DSLR

I don't care

I do not regret one bit for buying my new lomo camera!

meet my new handsome love...

Smena Symbol
a.k.a
Cosmic Symbol

Isn't he the most handsome camera ever???
(yes its a he and his name is Seth)

After such a long wait to order in bulk from lowyat...
and the not so long wait of processing and delivering...
I finally have him with me now... :)

I have to say... it is way harder to figure out this camera than my Nico...
1st of all... i had trouble figuring how to put the film in...
and then rolled it... and then made sure it stayed still... and then... MY GOSH!
but after that... i read the manual then only start taking pictures...
seriously~ it is quite complicating!
i have to learn how to control it fast...

but then again... Lomography is all about imperfection...
it very much contradict the whole professional photography concept...
the more imperfect the picture is taken... the more perfect it is in Lomography world...
so I'm pretty hyped up and excited to finish up my 1st roll of film and see how the pictures turns out...

anyway! i shall go back to my smena manual...
I just wanted to share my excitement!

ok bye~!

i hate onion

and yes i finally managed to differentiate onion to garlic...
and no it is not bimbo-tic of me to think that they were the same as in indo... they are all called "bawang"...
garlic is "bawang putih"....
whereas onion is "bawang bombai"

HAHA
you must be thinking...
why am I so bloody random?

I'm not!
I was helping out my mom in the kitchen today...
very hard to believe... people who knows me know very well that I do not go to the kitchen very often...
but I did today... and while my mum was preparing and slicing the veggies and meat for the fried mee-hoon that she was about to make... i offered to help... :) so... she handed me a big heavy knife...(more like the one they use to chop meat)

first she made me slice chicken "ampla" (i dont know the english word for that) and then she made me slice the pork sausage...and lastly... the one that i was terribly afraid of... she asked me to slice the onion that she have just peeled...

I HATE ONION! i don't like eating them... and I don't like the smell of them...
and my fingers still smell of them now...
no matter how many million times i washed it with a million different liquid soab... the smell wouldn't go away!!! :(
so now i have onion smelling fingers...

ok i think we should move on from the onion topic...

ok... after slicing... i put everything to the frying pan...
and started stirring... and stirring and stirring... :P

my story is very "potong" lah!
i just feel like rambling! :P

but i do have to say... slicing is no easy peasy job....
my hands actually hurts from holding the knife and trying to slice the meat/onion as thin as my mom wants it to be...
and cooking is quite fun... its funner than playing cooking mama but so much more energy needed of course...

the moral of the story is... i should really go to the kitchen more...
and learn how to cook from my mom cuz she cooks the best meals!!!

it is not my fault that i did not realize this before as she is usually rushing to cook and when i offer her to help... she'd shoo me away so she can get things done faster...

ish~ she makes me feel so useless in the kitchen!

its ok! i think now she realizes that she has to teach me how to cook or else i will never learn... :P
and i will be a failure to my gender... and she will be to blamed for being my mother and not teaching me how to cook!

HAHAHA i really dont know why I'm writing all these things down...
i guess this is one of those random rambling that you all have to bear reading...

i should stop now...
but i still hate onion and my fingers now...

ok bye~!

*correction*
bawang merah is shallot... :P

Photobooth fun with Devon!

!DEVON IS SO CUTE!

my 2 brothers and their families are here!
I'm so happy that they have finally decide to come here this Christmas =]
usually... I'll be the one going back early...
and thank god my PC fair job ended just in time so I can spend time with my lil nephews and niece! =]

yes i love being an aunt to them!
got a problem with that huh!?

anyway! talking about PC fair...
my legs and my voice have been used to the max during the job!
selling laptop is no child's play! especially trying to convince people that you can offer the best price and give the best freebies...
and I supposed wearing a Toshiba uniform while promoting other brands such as hp and compaq makes the convincing part a little harder...

I don't think i have any interesting stories to tell about my days as a laptop seller...
I supposed its because the booth I was working on only had a few promoters... not as many as the main Toshiba counter... so yes...
The people that I worked for and with are so nice and funny! =]
they provided us with good lunch and dinner !!! =] me like free food!!
but the fact that I had to eat inside the tiny storeroom that can only fit 1 person was horrible...
other than that... everything else was fine...

I should probably stop rambling now and have my dinner...
starving now!

ok bye~!!

oh! i broke a nail.... :(
as bimbo-tic as that may sound...it hurts like a bitch! =_=!

today's random complain...

I hate those charity volunteers that bugs people to donate...

anyway... was in 1u just now when this guy from a preferred not to be mentioned charity organization came up to me and said

"protect children's right!"

which also means "please donate"...
and as an international student, I know it would be troublesome even if i were interested to help out so i ended up just waving my hand to them...
to my surprise, he actually retort against me by saying

" you don't want to protect YOUR right?"

in a pretty rude way...
and i was like....
excuse me?
WTH!

I mean... I like the idea of charity and helping other people or animals in some matter...
but come on... is it honestly worth it for them to be approaching students?
if they do want to approach students, they should not come up with one long winded process that we have to go through before we can actually be involve...
like having to sign a contract that will allow them to take in money from your bank every month or having to give them money every week...
seriously... students don't even have enough money to spend for our everyday needs and we do not have the time to always work for extra pocket money... and everything is also increasing and stuffs...
so do you think we would be interested to be in that long term contract????

obviously NOT!

I mean... why cant they just go back to the concept "donate on the spot" kind of thing...
so when we do have extra money, we can actually give them to help out and not feel pressured...

I personally believe that the word "charity" have changed over the years
what used to be defined as "the voluntary giving of help" and supposedly to be given sincerely has become "oh charity is good. you should help out." and very forced.
and sometime I also feel that these charity organizations volunteers are trained to talk as much rubbish just to make people get fed up and give in and donate...
not very sincere is it?

seriously! I find it a waste of time for them to be asking students for donation because they are going to get turned down anyway...
why not just stick to the easy target of working people, parents and grandparents!
they are after all the one providing the money for us for now...

GEEEZ!

but I do support and encourage others to donate if they can...
and if they are sincere about it too...
don't donate if you feel forced too...
you won't feel the satisfaction of doing the right thing and actually make a difference if you do...
but i supposed if you have too much money... then might as well rite...

ok enough about me blabbering about this...
I don't think I will stop anytime soon if I continue...

ok bye~!

everyday is a holiday...

and I'm not even speaking in terms of literal...

getting quite sick of the holidays already!
seriously!

well... what have I been up to?
my computer is my forever love...
I am non stop on it... well.. at least when i dont go out anywhere... :P
I feel like such a loser!

but... I did go out today.... so I am not a big of a loser... :P

OH! I went to the gym today with Lisa!!! *bangga*
FINALLY after god knows how long...

and then... Gaby, Lisa and I headed to Pyramid where we met up with Smita, Mei Fong, and Mini + bf to go hunting for prom dress as they will be having their CIMP prom nite tomorrow...

but we somehow ended up shopping with Sutesh, Aaron and Daryl after that... :P they are so hillarious...! i swear! going in and out of shops... from G2000 to Topshop... apparently Aaron was looking for some shirts... so yes.. only he got to shopped...

OMG! i love the sunnies from Padini concept store!
they are so bizzare and funky at the same time cool...
hahaha! Lisa and I had fun trying them on and having a good laugh at each other's choice..!
and yes i did feel a lil "jakun"... but HECK i loved it! :P

voila~

Lisa were so tempted to buy the bloody big ginormous orange sunnies... but later decide that she was not at all going to wear them while she is still sane... so yes...
whereas i did like 1 of the black sunnies but was too lazy to pay! =p

I should do that more often...
be more lazy to pay...
I think I'll be able to save up loads and loads of money! :P

oh... and we had lunch+dinner at Kim Gary where Shane decided to show up with some cupcakes!! YEAY CUPCAKES! =]=]=]

there is to many "I"s in this post already...
I should stop... it's not very nice to always talk about yourself... :P
and plus, kinda running out things to say already!

oh! OH i almost forgot!
my SMENA SYMBOL is finally being ordered!
and now just waiting for processing and delivery!!!

IM SO EXCITED!!!! =]=]=]=]!
ok bye~!
